WHY OUR FRIES ARE THE BEST!
> The Evidence:
- Fresh Not Frozen: Our fries taste like potatoes, not water & oil
- Aussie Potatoes: We source our potatoes from Aussie farmers
- Hand-Cut: The potatoes we use are cut fresh
- Seasonal Potatoes: This is why our fries will vary in colour & consistency
- Cooking Process: We cook our fries twice ensuring they are crispier
- No Trans Fat: Our fries have no trans fatty acids
- Skins On: We leave the skins on (seasonal), much healthier this way • Oil: High quality canola oil. Cleaned & filtered daily
- Sauces: We make our own sauces to compliment our fries
It’s a very time consuming and expensive way to make fries which is the reason why others stopped making them this way. We realise people still prefer quality food; this is what motivates us to continue to ensure our fries are best.
Lord of the Fries are not your average fry. We have set out to create the best tasting fry you will ever try, and after months of time spent refining our cooking process we believe we have achieved it.
In our shop we don't just open a bag of frozen fries and throw them in the fryer, as many people would expect from a fast food restaurant.
We use Australian grown potatoes that we hand-cut, leaving the skins on to preserve vital nutrients. Maintaining the potato in that state provides nearly ½ of the daily vitamin value for vitamin C - and remains one of the best sources of potassium and fibre
Cooked initially at a lower temperature - the flavours of the potato are sealed in and the grease is locked out. The second cooking step is called 'snap-frying'; this is cooking the potato at a higher temperature creating golden fries that are crisp on the outside, and soft in the centre.
The oil is of the same high standard as the potatoes. We use a blend of sunflower and cottonseed oil. It's light in taste and appearance and a very healthy choice to compliment the fries
So what's so special about our fries, in short, the hours involved in preparing them, the choice of the best oil to cook them in and the type of potato. The entire process has been created so that we can provide you with the best tasting fries you'll ever try.
